Gareth Edwards was definitely the right director for Jurassic World: Rebirth. After Godzilla, the Star Wars prequel Rogue One, and his innovative little AI sci-fi adventure, Creator, he was ready to play in executive producer Steven Spielberg 's legendary dinosaur playground.

Next, the filmmakers used the opportunity to make a dino disappear before the viewers’ eyes. The T-Rex is in the background of the shot, but then is hidden from view once the raft inflates on its side.
