Knull – who is a relatively new comic-book character, introduced officially in 2018 – makes his live-action debut in Venom 3. He's trapped in a prison on Klyntar as a result of his symbiote creations turning on him and he's seeking a way out.

Played under CG by Andy Serkis (who directed the last film, Venom: Let There be Carnage) and presented here as a cut-rate Elric, he dispatches what appears to be the spindly Acklay from the arena sequence in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones to hunt down Venom and Eddie Brock,
