Oscar Mayer’s iconic Wienermobile fleet will be “hot dogging” it later this week at the inaugural "Wienie 500.”
This first-ever “meat-up” of these wieners-on-wheels will take place on Friday, May 23 ahead of the actual Indy 500, and will be streamed live on social media and then with highlights presented on the pre-race show on Sunday. They’ll also be part of the 500 Festival Parade that takes place on Saturday.
The "Wienie 500" will see six of the hot-dog-shaped promotional vehicles race on the famous oval, each one representing a regional U.S. hot-dog style.
Oscar Mayer and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are taking the “hot dog race” concept to an entirely new level … and the intrigue, and humor, is hard to avoid.
