Saturday will be cloudy for most of the day, but clearing will begin during the afternoon and evening hours, becoming a clear and chilly sky by Saturday night.

The Philly area will be graced with another round of snow this weekend, although likely not at the levels seen earlier in the week.

Tony Gigi, a longtime meteorologist at the Mount Holly office who is now retired, calculated that separate GFS runs had forecast a total of 77 inches of snow for the Philly region from Dec. 20 through Sunday. Philly’s official seasonal total stands at 2.1 inches.

As our next system approaches, clouds will increase in the Philadelphia region by late Friday. Looking ahead to the Saturday snow chance, it's less likely that snow lovers will get a big dumping of snow out of this one.
