Tim Cindric, former president of Team Penske, has spoken out as the scandal sent shockwaves through the racing community.

Roger Penske personally told Will Power about the firings of Team Penske's top three executives — a decision Power said his boss made after a sleepless night contemplating how to handle a cheating scandal ahead of the Indianapolis 500.

Firings come after Josef Newgarden and Will Power were found to have an illegally modified spec part on their cars during Sunday qualifying for the Indy 500.
