For the fifth time in the last six majors, Bryson DeChambeau finished tied for 6th or higher. At the 2025 PGA Championship it looked like the two-time U.S. Open winner would give Scottie Scheffler everything he could handle.

As Scottie Scheffler’s rivals left North Carolina considering how they can possibly deny the world No 1 further major victories this season, it was perhaps no surprise to hear “The Mad Scientist” sounding the most confident of discovering the secret.

The world No. 1 could be in for a Sunday stroll to his third major title, but the SI Golf staff wonders if Bryson DeChambeau and his firepower might mount a challenge.
