Forecasters warn that several factors in the western Caribbean, including high water temperatures, indicate that a system could kick up in that region some time after Halloween.

The National Hurricane Center officially labeled a system in the western Caribbean as PTC15 and tropical storm watches were issued.

The disturbance in the northwest Caribbean sea has become better organized and is a threat to develop as it approaches land, but it's not officially a tropical cyclone yet. On the forecast track, the system could become a tropical storm on Saturday just before making landfall in Belize. If it does, it will be named Nadine.

On Friday at 5 pm, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory for the potential tropical cyclone. The potential tropical cyclone is 210 miles east of Belize City, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving at 7 mph to the west-northwest.

The Atlantic appears clear at the moment, but forecasters say the makings of the next storm could already be brewing.

Unfortunately, that's not likely to be the case, as AccuWeather predicts that a system potentially capable of becoming Tropical Storm Patty could be just a week away.
