The sniper who shot dead two firefighters in an ambush in Idaho was identified Monday as 20-year-old Wess Roley — and an eerie photo shows him delivering a sinister glare into the camera.

Roley had no known criminal record. Local police had five recent minor and non-violent interactions with Roley, whereby they asked him to move his vehicle from where he was parked.

The gunman behind a deadly ambush that targeted firefighters in Idaho has been identified as Wess Roley. Two firefighters were killed in a suspected ambush on Canfield Mountain just north of Coeur d’Alene.
