Winter storms left Lake Michigan covered in ice this week along the shores in west Michigan. Winter storms brought heavy snowfall across Michigan this past week, along with ice and frigid temperatures and wind chills. In west Michigan, the weather created natural ice formations along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for two areas of Michigan, both calling for some heavy snow and possibly difficult travel conditions on the roads. These two advisory areas are also hundreds of miles apart and have different timing, so let’s separate it out for you here:

A 'coast-to-coast' winter storm will impact Michigan. Areas along Lake Huron could see as much as 12 inches of snow — maybe more. Where it will fall.
