Former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was back in New England on Thursday, hoping to convince some promising young football players to join him at the University of North Carolina.

Bill O'Brien, who coached Vrabel as a player and later hired him says it was a "great decision" to bring him in as the Patriots next head coach.

Vrabel said on sports radio WEEI that he has a "long list" and confirmed it includes former Las Vegas Raiders head coach and Patriots coordinator Josh McDaniels, who still lives in the region and last worked with the Patriots in 2021 when he worked wonders with then-rookie Mac Jones.
