Connor Hellebuyck made 26 saves to win his 300th career game as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the visiting Nashville Predators 5-2 on Tuesday.

Connor Hellebuyck became the third-fastest goalie to reach 300 career wins while Josh Morrissey left the game late in the second period with a lower-body injury.

Connor Hellebuyck admitted it was difficult to stay patient as he was reaching a milestone of 300 NHL career wins. After being in net for a pair of losses, the Winnipeg Jets goalie finally accomplished that feat in Tuesday’s 5-2 victory over the Nashville Predators.

Hellebuyck is expected to draw the home start versus the Predators on Tuesday, per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site. After closing out December with six consecutive wins, Hellebuyck is 0-1-1 and has allowed seven goals over two starts in January.

The Winnipeg Jets (28-12-2) snapped their three-game skid, defeating the Nashville Predators 5-2 on Tuesday night (Jan. 7). This was the second time the two teams have met in the past 10 days, with the Jets also winning the other matchup 3-0 on Dec.

It will certainly be a lifelong memory for the now 10-year NHL veteran. A blue collar crowd of hard-nosed hockey fans showed their love and support by way of multiple standing ovations throughout the evening affair - which ended up being a 5-2 victory over the Central Division's Nashville Predators.

Hellebuyck became the fastest U.S.-born goaltender in NHL history to reach the 300-win milestone, and the League’s third-fastest overall behind Andrei Vasilevskiy (490 GP on Nov. 14, 2024) and Jacques Plante (521 GP on Dec. 25, 1962).
