AUBURN, Ala. (WSFA) - Auburn University’s beloved mascot has a permanent home on campus. The university unveiled a bronze statue of Aubie in front of the Harold D. Melton Student Center on Saturday.

Auburn Adopted the Tiger Mascot in 1959. The university introduced the Tiger mascot as a cartoon character on the cover of the Auburn/Hardin-Simmons football program.
