The city recently approved permits that provide a look into the architect firm's designs for the historic site.

The Midland Planning Commission at its Oct. 8 meeting held a public hearing for the site plan for a new Dow Gardens welcome center, which was presented by Community Development Planner Ryan Smith.

The board’s plan places priority on construction of the expanded meeting site, which will add 60,000 square feet to the convention center and is expected to be finished by December 2026.
