From rally icon to tuner special, this Mitsubishi engine helped power several generations of the iconic Lancer Evolution thanks to its sturdy tunability.

Turbo Town on Youtube recently uploaded a video of a rowdy E81 BMW 1 Series powered by an engine donated by a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4G63T.

The 4G63T engine installed in the Galant VR-4 delivered more than 300 horsepower from the very beginning of its rally career.

Instead, he did what any other tuner would do – swapped the engine with something more powerful. The powerplant in mind was a Mitsubishi Evolution 8 4g63T engine.
