Lauren Carlini will be a 'resource' for the players. The analyst job is designed to take advantage of the mind of someone who served as a floor general at the highest level of the sport.

Jude Carlini, 69, of Owego, NY was called home on June 2, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at Wilson Hospital. Jude was predeceased by her mother, AnnaMay Ryan-Kruemberg and Father Vincent Carlini.

Carlini and her teammates leave July 20 for Paris. The U.S. team ranks fifth in the world behind Brazil, Italy, Poland and Turkey. They open the Olympics playing China, Serbia and France.

Carlini, a setter from Aurora, Illinois, was the Big Ten player of the year at UW in 2014 and 2017 winner of the Sullivan Award given to the most outstanding U.S. amateur athlete.
