Three bills surfaced in the Illinois General Assembly that could’ve thrown the team a block in their rush to the former Arlington International Racecourse, but none made headway by the time lawmakers gaveled out early Sunday.

The Illinois General Assembly adjourned its spring session over the weekend without passing legislation to ease the team’s move to Arlington Heights.

As the Bears hope to build a new stadium, the state of Illinois is doing the team no favors. Via the Chicago Sun-Times, the annual legislative term ended without the passage of any legislation applicable to the team's sputtering stadium effort.
