While a Level 2 warning is the second lowest on the State Department’s scale, the agency says travelers should remain aware of their surroundings when visiting. In particular, the advisory says visitors should stay alert in tourist areas as they can be targeted in an attack.

With that said, a few travel advisories have been issued this week. Travel advisories from the U.S. Department of State range from Level 1 to Level 4. The lowest advisory level simply urges U.S. citizens to exercise normal precautions.
