What time does Doom: The Dark Ages release, and is it on Game Pass?
Yes, Doom: The Dark Ages will be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass, but not for all subscription tiers. It’ll only be playable on Game Pass if you’ve subscribed at the PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tiers. It won’t be available at the Core or Standard tiers.
Doom: The Dark Ages doesn’t run badly on PC, but enforced ray tracing slows the pace
The Dark Ages is at least easier on the ol’ GPU than Indy was, and I’ve had a crack at a settings guide (below) that should give a boost to most rigs, but ray tracing is still a hard requirement that means it won’t even launch on a lot of older hardware.
This seems to be a perennial problem with any handheld gaming PC that uses an AMD Ryzen Z1 processor for CPU and GPU duties.
