The new name for the consolidated Chaney and East High Schools and Chaney and East Middle Schools will be "Youngstown Unified" starting in the Fall 2026 school year.

Franklin High School graduated its first P-TECH Medical class, with 85 students. Of those, 33 earned associate degrees. Ten students also earned Level 1 EMT certificates, the first in EPISD history.
