On Nov. 16, 2023, the 16-year class-action lawsuit against Grenville Christian College finally came to a close. As a former student, I could hardly believe it.

Those allegations were revealed as part of an investigation by The Fifth Estate into Grenville Christian College in November. Farnsworth, 55, lives near Brockville, 115 kilometres south of Ottawa.

It’s been nearly a decade since the Grenville Christian College closed, but some of the institution’s former students say they’re still haunted by what happened behind its doors.

Grenville Christian College closed in 2007 when allegations of abuse were investigated by the Ontario Provincial Police and the school’s secrets became the focus of public attention.
