The recently rebuilt and reopened Brotherton bridge in Waterford Township and the Harrington bridge in Conneaut Township are the last of about 15 covered bridges that once spanned local creeks.

The historic bridge has been closed pending repairs since 2011. It was dismantled last fall and now is being reassembled on new structural supports.

Derbyshire County Council said the £650,000 repairs would involve repainting Harrington Bridge in Sawley as well as fixing its steel cross braces.
