Delaney Sam, 25, was arrested Monday on suspicion of second-degree assault, a Class 4 felony; menacing, a Class 5 felony; and possession of an illegal weapon, a Class 1 misdemeanor.

Authorities have identified the 35-year-old suspect from Cañon City being held on suspicion of shooting a man in the head Monday in Fremont ... a previous offender in possession of a weapon.

Joseph Tippet, of Cañon City, was arrested late Friday night for allegedly shooting his father in the back of the head while he was asleep in the home that they shared on South Raynolds Avenue.
