On January 8, a car driving south on Wood Road ran a stop sign at Highway 2 and crashed into a semi-truck. Three people were in the car at the time of the crash.

WSP said that the car, driven by an 18-year-old girl from Fruitland, was traveling on Wood Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign before entering U.S. Highway 2.
