This card doesn't come with a free anniversary night, like other hotel cards at cheaper price points do. But its credits and perks can still make it a good deal for Hilton loyalists.

After your allotted time to receive whatever reward offered (Hilton points or resort credit etc), you can walk away at any time. That's on you. Saying "no" and leaving is actually pretty easy.
