Creekmore Park pool will close Friday as the city addresses flaking fiberglass grates linked to irritation reports. Reopening is planned for Saturday.

The City of Fort Smith said the closure will happen to address reports of fiberglass irritation.

In the long term, the city has reportedly been looking into replacing the fiberglass grates with plastic ones, with all fiberglass set to be removed in winter 2025.
