The Art Institute of Chicago has two works on display by one of the world's great landscape painters, J.M.W. Turner, born 250 years ago.

Jock Pettitt, from Art for Guernsey, said the artwork to be displayed had taken inspiration from Turner's work and was a "stunning selection of works in woodcut, pencil, paint, etching and pastels".

The link between JMW Turner and the landscapes that inspired him is to be the focus of an exhibition being held to mark the 250th anniversary of his birth.
