Ward 5 Council Member Kenyan McDuffie filed an appeal Friday to overturn a ruling that found him ineligible to run for D.C. attorney general.

Around 9 p.m. Thursday, police were called out to the 400 block of Bussey Avenue. 41-year-old Michaeline Lowe of Thomson was found shot and taken to Piedmont McDuffie Hospital.
