Malayalam actor Prithviraj, who has also worked in Bollywood films like Raavan and Aurangzeb, wrote on his Facebook page, “R.I.P. Kalpana Chechi! A fine actor and a finer human being!

Kalpana, 51, had made her debut in G. Aravindan's film Pokkuveyil 1981 and has acted in around 300 films. Her latest Malayalam film Charlie is still running in cinemas across Kerala.
