Trump administration eliminates LGBTQ youth suicide lifeline Press 3 option from 988 crisis line, affecting support for mental health care services nationwide.

The federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced that the LGBTQ+ services offered through the “Press 3” option will be discontinued. The agency said the move is intended “to focus on serving all help seekers, including those previously served through the Press 3 option.”
