Cyclists will be able to ride nearly 100 miles of uninterrupted trail in eastern Kansas thanks to a new bridge near Ottawa. The Flint Hills Trail runs from Osawatomie to Council Grove.

The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) announced the Flint Hills Trail State Park has been nominated to the Rails to Trails Conservancy’s (RTC) Hall of Fame.

On Aug. 11, Kelly indicated the U.S. DoT announced Kansas State Parks would be awarded a total of $24,821,705 in grant funds for the Flint Hills Trail State Park.

Osawatomie, Kan. (KCTV) - The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Representative Sharice Davids announced a $24.8 million federal grant awarded to improve the Flint Hills Trail.
