The Milford high school student who spent six days in immigration detention before his release on bail Thursday said his immediate desire is to get back to “regular life,” and high school exams.

The 18-year-old was detained while on his way to volleyball practice. His Massachusetts community is demanding his release.

Marcelo Gomes, the Milford, Massachusetts teenager detained by ICE last weekend, was granted bond after his first deportation hearing Thursday afternoon. WBZ-TV's Beth Germano reports.
