Flames filled the inside of the bus that’d carried players and coaches from the Marion High School football on the way ... it was working to pick up the team and bring everyone home.

MCPHERSON, Kan. (KAKE) - The Marion High School football team was stranded after the Marion Activity Bus caught fire in between Salina and McPherson while driving home from the Wesleyan Football Camp.

To the Marion football program ... have been 17 according to the Iowa High School Athletic Association’s RPI formula the last two seasons. Sixteen teams make the playoffs in Class 4A.

and it only took a couple of hours because the Marion High School football team came together to fill them. The team took Tuesday’s conditioning time and used it to help those around them.
