Lake Wales to launch revitalization of historic Black neighborhood along Lincoln Avenue with bold street mural by Florida artist E.J. Nieves.

Now they will continue to dance together in a mural in downtown Lake Wales, which depicts the high school band and Scottish Unit. "They did everything together," said Tim Violette, Alena's father.

The artist painted some of the large murals in downtown Lake Wales, including one depicting the turpentine industry and a street scene in the Polk State College J.D. Alexander Center.
