Nettie S. Freed K-8 Expeditionary School will be welcoming its first classes of students on Monday, Aug. 28.
Nettie S. Freed K-8 Expeditionary School, 715 W. 20th St., is the fifth Pueblo D60 school to break ground following voter approval of a $218 million bond in 2019.
Nettie S. Freed will hold a ribbon-cutting for its new building on Aug. 24 at 3 p.m. The site was previously home to the Freed Middle School and Heroes K-8 Academy.
The Nettie S. Freed K-8 Expeditionary School campus retains the school’s football field/running track and auxiliary gymnasium. The school is one of five new schools opening in Pueblo this year.
