KUB’s request to lower electricity use was made to conserve energy and reduce demand on the overall system. The goal was to maintain the regional electricity power supply.

TVA alerted KUB and other local power companies of the need for energy conservation efforts on June 24. This is not the first time TVA has asked customers to conserve.
