Softball America has changed its system from one year to the next. For the 2025 class, it ranked 15 pitchers and 50 position players; that was changed to 100 players regardless of position in 2026.

Last year, between its two sessions, the PGF Nationals hosted about 635 teams from across the nation. The tournaments were viewed as the crown jewel of the highly-competitive travel softball season.
