A final decision on letting people drink alcohol in Regina parks will have to wait until next month, at the earliest, after Mayor Sandra Masters tabled discussion Wednesday night.

Regina residents will not be allowed to drink alcohol in city parks after all. City council voted 7-4 to reject the proposal. Those who opposed the idea were at city hall to have their say.

The parks in question are A.E. Wilson Park in the city’s northwest, Litzenberger Park in the north end and Horizon Station Park in the Towns neighbourhood in southeast Regina.
