The Minnesota State Patrol this week will debut its new logo after state officials retired the old state seal that once was the central image on trooper patches, badges and squad cars.

The new look for the State Patrol isn’t just a redesigned patch on our troopers’ shoulders. It includes badges, hats, squads, license plates, buttons on uniforms, signage and so much more.

The City Council, on Tuesday, will review the process of how the logo was selected. If a majority of the council votes to keep the logo as it is, it will be used on 11 patrol cars and two motorcycles.
