Thirty-one new emojis -- including the highly-requested pink heart -- are coming to smartphones next year. Emoji 15.0 is set to be approved this September, Emojipedia noted.

The update also brings a batch of 31 new emoji. Among the new emoji are a shaking-head smiley; animals like a donkey, moose and goose; and additional heart colors, such as plain pink and light blue.

The Unicode Consortium have today approved a set of 31 new emojis that include a shaking face and pink heart. Support for the emojis will be rolled out on different platforms over the next few months.

Version 15 of the Unicode Consortium's list of emoji is expected to be unveiled in September. Not only is the group's deliberation not finished yet, but there is still time before the July 31 ...

They include an afro comb emoji, a shaking face and a Khanda, the symbol of the Sikh religion. Also in the pipeline: a plain pink heart emoji, which looks set to be a super-popular addition ...

Other emoji on the draft list include a pale blue heart and a grey heart, the “stop” (or “high five”) hand gesture, a flute, maracas and a hair pick.
