Polish discus thrower Piotr Malachowski auctioned the silver medal he won at the Rio Olympics in order to help pay for the treatment of a 3-year-old boy with eye cancer.

The owner of that Polish White Eagle Medal bought it at a garage sale for just 75 cents and sold it to Rick for a cool $6,000. Pretty cool story, but it didn't end there there.

Polish javelin thrower Maria Andrejczyk has auctioned off her Tokyo Olympics silver medal for a great cause. The Olympian sold it for $125,000 to help an infant that needs life-saving heart surgery.
