ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) - Rocky Mount police have made an arrest in this past weekend’s double homicide on Virginia Street.

Investigators arrested a suspect in connection with a weekend shooting that left two people dead in Rocky Mount, police said Tuesday.

Three shootings, including a double homicide at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, occurred in the city within about a six-hour period this weekend, police said.

Detectives arrested 26-year-old Daquan Johnson as the suspect in the July 13th shooting that injured 29-year-old Reggie Joyner.
