Downtown Miami’s Olympia Theater is a National Historic Landmark, but it’s only used a few times a year because it’s falling apart.
The city of Miami may be choosing to sell the historic Olympia Theater to the Pitbull-founded SLAM Academy charter school.
The theater was named in 2009 after former Bangor Area High School band director and music teacher M. Craig Paine. Officials would not elaborate on the reason for the possible name change.
