In the lawsuit, Dr. Feagins claims board members worked in secret to arrange her ouster and violated open meetings laws. She wants to be reinstated as superintendent while the lawsuit is pending.
Feagins states in her affidavit that just 17 days into her appointment as superintendent of MSCS, she received "credible informal reports" that some board members were already discussing her removal.
In a court filing from June 23, Feagins is asking for a Circuit Court judge to reinstate her as the superintendent of MSCS swiftly and throughout the future court proceedings.
