More big changes are coming to the newest city in the Lone Star State. The newly minted Starbase, Texas will soon have a $22 million community center, according to online records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Voters, many of them SpaceX employees, decided to create a municipality with a small local government in the once-quiet Boca Chica Village area.

All three — running unopposed — have longstanding connections with SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company headquartered in South Texas.

Mostly SpaceX employees overwhelmingly voted in favor of incorporating Starbase, the home to the aerospace company, as a Texas city.
