Dozens of members of the public gathered on overpasses in North Idaho to show respect for the fallen firefighters.

Authorities say two firefighters were killed and another was badly injured after they were ambushed and shot while responding to a wildfire near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Sunday afternoon.

Republicans are using their majorities in Congress to push aside Democratic opposition, but they have run into a series of political and policy setbacks.
