MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)— The city of Midland announced that it’s $53.7 billion GDP is the fifth largest for a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in Texas.

Conversely, another Texas MSA, Austin-Round Rock ranked as one of the safest metro areas with 77 percent of residents saying they felt safe in the same situation.
