SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Many saw smoke rising from the hills above San Jose Sunday afternoon after a brush fire burned about four acres, near homes between Chaboya and Quimby Roads.

A brush fire that started Thursday afternoon is burning in the hills near Mount Hamilton Road. The Clayton Fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. Thursday east of Clayton Road.

Firefighters battled a fire burning in the hills east of San Jose Monday afternoon. The San Jose Fire Department reported the blaze prompted a second-alarm response on Higuera Road.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Firefighters are battling a 30-acre brush fire in the hills of San Jose. The fire is no longer spreading and crews are currently working to contain hot spots.
