Housing going up at UC Riverside will create much-needed space for university students — and also for hundreds of community college students who are encouraged to transfer.

UCR wants to increase student housing capacity on the campus’ eastern side. Today it can house 32% of the student body, but officials would like to increase that capacity to 40%.
