Donald Trump has said he is "not happy" with Vladimir Putin over attacks on Ukraine that left a number of civilians, including children, dead.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday expressed deep unhappiness at Russia's weekend bombing of Ukraine, saying of Russian President Vladimir Putin, "I'm not happy with Putin."

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has condemned a large-scale Russian attack on Ukrainian cities and villages on the night of 24-25 May, stating that such actions do not reflect the behaviour of a country seeking peace.

As Ukrainian drones strike deep into Russian territory, they are disrupting day-to-day life and reminding Russians that the war is not confined to the trenches.

Russian troops have executed Ukrainian prisoners more than 150 times, Kyiv’s military intelligence agency said on Saturday. The agency reported multiple instances in which Russian troops received “direct orders to kill” prisoners of war, and said there had been a sharp rise in executions since 2024.

Russian drones and missiles again bombarded cities across Ukraine on Saturday night into Sunday morning despite the completion of a major prisoner exchange.
