The 18-acre property at 90 Wendover Road, across the street from today’s Pope Francis Preparatory School, was housing for priests and nuns, which was destroyed by the 2011 tornado.

Superintendent Flanagan told NBC5 the project has been going according to plan. The only major roadblock was early on when crews found asbestos in the foundation.

The staff at St. Nicholas are excited to move forward with the new site, as they were dealt a difficult hand with Hurricane Laura.
